Travelling to Gyeonggi-do for the 3rd day!!
But before that...we went to the Icheon area (if I'm not mistaken) to practice even for a bit the Korean tradition. We first went to the Hanbok house.
I chose to wear a purple Hanbok :) I wasn't able to remove my turtle neck sweater because everybody was rushing! And I don't mean to disrespect the Koreans but my hands wont fit the sleeves of the hanbok so I chose to just tuck my hands (in which I failed) through the skirt. 'Chwesonghamnida'
Now for the kimchi making!! We were all given a plate of napa cabbage which are already soaked in salt and water, along with the gochujang (chili paste), mixed with different vegetables. What we just did was spreading the paste on the cabbage. The kimchis were donated to the people (I forgot where they're coming from) who are jobless so that they can have a source of income. :)
Last station was the eating area. This is the legit bibimbap with seaweed soup on the side. An authentic Korean bibimbap should consist of (aside from rice) lots of vegetables, mushrooms, very little amount of meat, egg and chili paste. But in my case I've put too much meat. :)) Since the authorities in our tour were very particular in following the itinerary, I wasn't able to finish my lunch. We immediately headed to Everland.
Lol the theme park's song still in my head.
Our tour guide said that Everland is owned by Samsung, and it is the largest theme park in South Korea. This is like the Disneyland of South Korea. Imagine how huge the amount of sales Samsung gets not just from the smartphones and appliances. It also comes from a theme park...and even car! Samsung also manufactures cars, which is sold only in Korea.
Ok I'm killing the fun!!
WELCOME TO EVERLAND!!!
With a map on hand, we immediately searched for the T-Express! The wooden roller coaster and the 4th steepest roller coaster in the world!
While we were queuing..........
Surprisingly, we only waited for less than 30 minutes! According to reviews I've read, It takes 1 hour before one can ride for only 3 minutes!
This is the first roller coaster I've ridden in my whole life and yes.........it freaked the shit out of me. I screamed my lungs out most especially in the steepest part! I felt wobbly after the ride and what made me feel more wobbly was that when me and my friends went next to the adjacent souvenir shop, I saw my ugly, freaked-out-by-the-roller-coaster-face on display! Remember to put your best face on even if you want to scream it all out once you ride the T-Express! Because they have this camera somewhere that will take a pic of you while you're on the ride. You'll just be surprised that there's a flash from somewhere. If you want to buy your pic, I think it's worth more or less 5,000 won.
Too bad we weren't able to take a vid of this moment because we had to leave our bags inside the small lockers.
Then we searched for the next lucky ride~~
We were supposed to go here next but we don't know where the queue is lol.
I suggested the Rolling X-Train while we were planning, but after the T-Express, I changed my mind. :)) This is also a roller coaster, smaller than the T-Express but with a loop.
Aaaand the phrases on this cup amused me :))
So much things to do in Korea so little time.....I hope I can go back.....
To the Safari!!!
Hhihihihihihi face-to-face with the giraffe!!! I was in a Safari bus where you can interact closer with the animals :))
Beautiful Pink Flamingos!
After walking around the Lost Valley, we tried the Hurricane. I expected more from this ride ahahah :))
AND THIS KILLED ME. NOT THE T-EXPRESS.
I think you should watch this video to understand my feelings :))))))))))
Everland has a lot of beautiful sites! There was even a parade which we were unable to witness.
See you again soon, Everland!
It took us about 20-30 minutes from Everland to Seoul. FINALLLYYYY~
But our tour guide said that during the rush hours, it can take about 2 hours before we can arrive to the capital of South Korea. How fortunate are we!
On our way to a restaurant for dinner~
There are lots of coffee shops around Seoul. Koreans really do love drinking coffee.
More things about Seoul on my next post!
At Dongdaemun East Gate Mall! (on the right side) This is where we bought different Korean souvenirs. I'm gonna make a separate post on what I bought :)
Sorry it kinda took me long before I was able to post this I'm kind of stressed out although I'm on a term break :))
Don't forget to.......
Always Keep the Faith.
