Up for the second day! We checked in at Seorak Del Pino Resort in Gangwon Province. :) We slept in a traditional Korean setting, which is sleeping on the floor, with a buckwheat pillow under our heads. :)
My view from the hotel's veranda! :)
The sunlight streaming through the stonehenge replica
Behind me is the mountain with white peaks called Ulsan rock :)
While we're having a tour around the hotel...I immediately took a photo of this hidden golf course. Really beautiful!
Let's proceed to Daepo Fish Market!!
According to our tour guide, you can get the freshest seafood in the Daepo Fish Market!
Different seashells
Different seafoods! The two huge squids are a Korean delicacy (I forgot what it's called). Once sold in Seoul its price gets a tad higher, so our tour guide recommended that people who want these kind of squids buy them at Gangwon province. :)
The fish port :)
Expect a fishy smell when you go here!!
After a very brief tour around the market, we went to the jeongdongjin station, where you can have the best view of missiles coming from North Korea! If I'm not mistaken I've seen 3 white missiles in the air....
We're so lucky because we were permitted to enter the railway for free! We're supposed to take pictures just outside the station :)
Of course we grabbed the opportunity to take lots of photos inside and pose a la blogger :))
Captured by our college regent :)
I can't believe that vandalism extends here! :))
Risky shot after lunch :)) We ate bulgogi, and the photos are in my phone. The authentic Korean bulgogi is not what you think it is. The pork bulgogi is served with soup and vegetables, and isn't as tasty as what is served here in the Philippines. It's like 'Nilagang baboy' but smaller pork cuts. As usual, there's also banchan and rice.
Then we headed to the (Uiyaji) Wind Village to make ice cream and feed the sheep!
me and my buddies made chocolate ice cream!! I'm gonna do a separate post on how we made ice cream :)
The wind village! It's still in Gangwon
We finally met the sheep!!!
Cutieeee!
It was really fun feeding sheep although they're really smelly :))
The village practices recycling so they use paper cups for the feeding pellets. (Well, in all places we went people do recycle)
We then ate at another local restaurant serving Galbi :)
Galbi-all-you-can! Galbi is grilled beef marinated in ganjang (Korean soy sauce). The ganjang's taste is very much different from the usual soy sauce. It is very less in sodium.
*When the nightfall came, we all went crazy! Aside from the reason that it's very cold, smoke was coming out of our mouths :)) It's something new to us since we live in a tropical country.
After dinner, we checked-in to another hotel in Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province :)
This is a milk (uyu) sold at the wind village :) It's different from the milks sold in the convenience stores and groceries. It's not sweet but not too bland for my taste buds. I forgot how much this is though. It is not sold in Seoul, by the way. It can only be bought in Gangwon.
Wait for day 3!! I'm finally done watermarking all the photos!
Work hard for your dreams! Don't forget to.....
Always Keep the Faith.
