What's inside a college student's bag

Hi thaaaar so it's a long weekend for me and I want to  be kinda productive today so I'm gonna share some tips and college stuff based on my experience. The things I share may or may not suit your lifestyle but one thing is this post will kinda lend a hand especially to those who are getting anxious and don't have much idea about college life except for sleepless nights and stressful school works teeheeee~ (Well this is more like to those who want/will study in  UST)

LONG POST AHEAD!!!

Let's get started!

College students are being envied because we don't carry much stuff but projects, assignments, quizzes and even the most-dreaded thesis which will be done on the last year are what makes our life heavy. Though you have complete freedom (well not much in my university since it is a Catholic one) you should still use it for good.

Now, now......

I grouped the things that should be put in the bag into three so it could be remembered easily (hopefully)

1. The Daily Stuff

Obviously, the notebooks, ballpens, etc.

I arranged my notebooks according to their color, the lightest being the first subject on that day and the darkest as the last. I have 10 notebooks but I only bring half every day since my sched said so. My things are so elementary but yeah that's the way I roll XD

This is the usual college notebook. Everything is up to you in choosing your materials cos the professors don't really care about it. What's important is that they discuss what should be discussed in class. I used a binder during my first year and I don't know why I didn't feel comfortable with it. Maybe because it's a big fuss if you ran out of pages. That's why I changed into yarn notebooks.

Again, everything is up to you. You're not a kid anymore teeheee~

Of course you'll need ballpens!! It's ok if you only have a single black ball point pen on your pocket. As long as you have one you'll be doing fine in school. It depends on you if you want add some life to your notebooks just like what I do.I just use these sharpies not only because I want my notebook to be colorful but also to help my memory (yes markers help you in studying!!!!) cos I always hit my head inside a car, jeepney and even tricycle so it kinda weakens my brain (poor me TT). Ball point pens would be best for notebooks with thinner leaves cos you don't want your sign pens to bleed on the other page. I do not use the highlighters in my notebooks though. I only use them on books. In choosing a highlighter, I prefer yellow because according to Psychology, notes written on a yellow paper are remembered much better than on regular papers. And I also apply that study in choosing highlighters. (Yet my notebooks' leaves are white)

If you're the type of person who keeps on losing things like me, then put all your pens (even that one and only pen you're using the whole academic year) inside a pencil case.

Sticky notes!! One of the smallest yet important things in college especially for people who constantly forget tasks. Though I don't use post-its anymore because I keep on losing them XD I'm such an unorganized person you know. If you don't want to use post-its then you can just use the notebook's/filler's cover so the deadlines/assignments/quizzes/proj are permanently etched and your problem is solved!

During the first week of your classes every semester, always bring index cards and lots of 1 x 1 pictures. Some professors ask for those so don't you ever forget to bring them anytime cos you might get an incentive for being attentive and obedient. (clap clap clap)

You might call some professors as 'maarte' or even 'choosy' because they want a colored index card. But yeah, don't forget to purchase these on bookstores or school supplies shops.

Don't forget the yellow papers!!!! Way back high school and elementary there will always be intermediate papers, 1/4, 1/2 crosswise and lengthwise. But in college you'll only need yellow pads that you can divide into 1/4 and 1/2. However, professors don't really care if you pass a yellow paper, a regular paper and even a paper from your notebook as long as you answered their quizzes/seat works.

2. For a more presentable look

I haven't bought any make-up products yet so I can only share the most basic things as of now. When I'm already /rich/ I'm gonna post another entry just for my make-up kit.

You should always have something for your hair be it a small clip or a single bobby pin! In the university, the weather is never kind to us. UST is very prone to flooding and when it's a sunny day you'll feel all your fats burning (I don't know if that's a good or bad thing tho). I usually use this......what do you call this......uhh spiral/springy/curly hair tie cos my hair feels good in it and yeah. XD

And also bring perfume/cologne cos you don't want to smell like the sun or even the smoke coming from various transportation. Loose powder would also be recommended to keep your face from being too much oily (if you have an oily skin ofc).

3. Lifesavers

Well, I intended to put this in the end so you won't actually forget this after reading (if you actually read all). Obviously, these are the things you should NEVER EVER F-O-R-G-E-T because life is unpredictable.

Without the umbrella, it's either you get fried or you get wet. Ok? Ok!

Many people cannot live without a handkerchief and I know you can't live without it too! You can get really sweaty at school especially when the sun gets angry (but it is always angry!) and some unidentified smell gets through your nose (you know what I mean) XD

You should be a fan of a fan! There will be times that you'll get deprived of the cold air produced by the air conditioner so you should always have this.

This always gets in handy on unexpected circumstances so always bring a mass storage device. Put this also inside a pencil case so you won't lose it.

So you might be wondering why a calculator. It can help you get through maths so yeah it can save............your life. Calculator is allowed in college unlike in high school so this is kinda motivation to study hard in Math XD

Another thing that will save your  life is................

PRAYERS.

Don't forget to pray! This is the best lifesaver you have throughout your college life. :)

I hope this looooong blog post was able to help even for only 10% :)

'Til the next entry!
God bless!

Always Keep the Faith.
