So this is my first time posting a recipe and it makes me feel kinda proud that I was able to blog one. Lol more in the future, I guess.
This Kimchi Fried Rice is Bibimbap-inspired (kinda made up of mostly veggies) and Korean foods are known because of balance. Though it tastes spicy, it doesn't make you feel bloated. It's just that in food presentation, it will make you feel like you won't be able to finish eating it. Just my opinion.
Without further ados, let's begin. x)
One Sunday morning, I decided to cook Kimchi Fried Rice as my breakfast. I was looking for a ground pork but we don't have it in the fridge so I used the leftover meat instead.
Kimchi Fried Rice
(with my own twist)
Ingredients:
1 pack of kimchi (can be either small or large, depends on what you want)
Leftover rice
cooking oil
cooking oil
1-2 cloves of garlic
1 onion
1 tbsp. sesame oil
1 egg
Procedure:
1. Set up first the basic ingredients.
2. Chop the onion and garlic. You may also want to chop the Kimchi a bit and extract its juice/liquid.
3. After the Mise en Place, set up the pan on the stove ofc. Then after a while, check if it's kinda heated already. That's the time to pour the right amount of cooking oil. Let the oil be until it's a bit hot then saute the onion and garlic for few minutes.
4. Then add now the kimchi.
5. Let it cook for awhile then add the leftover food. Our leftover food is a beef marinated in soy sauce, black pepper and calamansi so it tastes kinda spicy but at the same time sour. These add to the Kimchi's taste.
6. After adding the meat, give it a toss then pour the juice/kimchi liquid. Leave it for a while til it kinda simmers.
7. Add the rice.
8. Toss the fried rice a bit then lower the heat. Pour 1 tablespoon of sesame oil.
9. Mix it a bit with the rice then crack an egg.
sorry for the blurry pic. v^^
10. Mix it with the rice till it cooks then tadah! The Kimchi fried rice is ready to serve.
MY ♥ IS TOO STUFFED UP.
